Dina Rodriguez- Owner & Licenced Managing Esthetician
Assistant Educator for Eminence Organics Skin care
Dina has always had a passion for skin care. As far back as she could remember she aspired to be a makeup artist and a teacher. While attending beauty school in 1985 at Grace School of Cosmetology, She managed a marketing company for 13 years. This allowed her to raise her kids while working outside the home.
Her entire career seems to embrace the beauty industry. From working in major department stores speciallizing in mens skin care, She fragrance modeled and was then promoted to Account Coordinator for Ralph Lauren & Giorgio Armani. This required managing accounts and associates in a 16 store territory.
After five years, She positioned herself in her own business venture, while becoming a distributor of a new cosmetic line. Which included traveling to California for Seminars meeting the actual formulator and many wonderful people in the industry.
In 2006, She took the makeup line into a spa. It was there, she connected her dream with reality and tied it to her future. Rising above this experience, she moved forward and was personally motivated to make a difference in the industry. "By returning to beauty school at the age of 40, she says, I admit having a "vested" interest in anti-aging while renewing my passion with skin."
After Graduating from Raphael's School of Beauty in 2007, She worked with Eminence at local spa for a year developing her skills. In February 2008, pursued an opportunity to assist the Regional Trainer of Eminence organics skin care line and became an assistant educator for the Ohio territory.
Her career progressed while attending anti-aging seminars, working the Chicago beauty show 2008 and the Vegas International Beauty show June of 2008. Her overall highlight was the Seminars and personal training with Boldijarre himself (President of Eminence Organics ) for a few days in Chicago. "He was both amazing and inspiring", says Dina."I traveled there despite my canceled flight and the 16 inches of snow and wouldn't have missed it for the world! I had the best possible training scenario and will never forget it." I carry that knowledge and excitement to all of our accounts to empower them."
And attending the AGM meetings in Vancouver, BC, Eminence's home office for 5 days last August and met the entire Company. The experience was impressive and left a definite impact on her. "I have the best of both worlds," Dina insists! "I love the traveling and training's my Eminence job requires, But there's nothing like a hands on, relaxing facial at my own spa."
Living her Dream.....
Facial Impressions opened it's doors in September 2008. She gives credit to her supportive husband who inspired her to "Live her dream" and encouraged her to open a place to call her own. she also givies credit to her daughter for the Web site and office work. Also To Claire Clark, her boss with Eminence organics and Regional Educator. For the wonderful opportunity, the knowledge and mostly for "believing in her." Also to her valued clients, who have given her the support and inspiration to make this happen.
Her favorite things we asked her to mention would be:
" My favorite part of the treatment would be the facial massage. When I do a facial massage, I honestly feel like I am receiving it.... every single time!" That's daily affirmation on how much I love my job."
Also, " The visual results you can see on your clients overall is very rewarding. But when you hear their stories, comments and compliments that other people have made to them about their skin. That's worth talking about!
Her clients feel she is not only passionate about her work, She is genuine and truly cares. And It shows in everything she does.
Dina also holds a certification and was trained in Canada as an Alexander Professional practitioner for "sugaring" an alternative to waxing.
